Functional design future APS tool

Being involved with a variety of customers at different stages of development; EyeOn sees and knows how to lead towards practices. Whether that is moving to artificial intelligence or from excel sheets to more integrated tools.

EyeOn puts a great emphasis on providing the support our clients need throughout a transition, partnership or expertise in the field of supply chain.

Our client in this project is a global advanced materials and specialty additives company, producing a wide range of products found in everyday life. With a market driven approach, they were able to take advantage of the world-class technology platforms and leading positions in attractive end-markets such as transportation, building, construction and consumables.

In this project, improvement-points are listed below :

  • Supply Planning supported by various, non-integrated Excel sheets
  • Difficulties to translate decision made in the S&OP towards the scheduling process
  • No MPS planning layer causing high amount of fire fighting in the scheduling process
  • Need to evaluate current planning process and define APS to support new planning processes

The results

The benefits of the analysis resulted in a robust planning process. A clear definition of future roles was established as well as the organizational setup. The functional and technical design of the APS was improved, with the use of detailed user requirements documents.
